How is it shaming? You said legislators would not be facing armed people anytime soon. Like…January 6 was just years ago. The potential for an armed attack on the Capitol is so much greater today than it has been at any time in our lifetimes. If you won’t stand by your words, what will you stand by?

It is easier when it is a plump power grab. There is a history situations getting to a similar point & turning around, eg. in Romania or the GDR. Project 2025 is more careful and avoids taking great steps. So the answer has to look different (not that Democrats found an answer to that one either...)

If that picture is from when the police/military blocked the entrances to the National Assembly to try and stop them from voting to undo martial law, I think being in the majority party there was absolutely relevant to the decision making process, yes.
