“Why are all our young people abandoning NZ for Aus?!?” Have you considered that Aus employment protections do more for their day-to-day living than their rip-off of a paycheque at home?

Remember: one reason why Australia has good wages is that its unions have fought to keep overtime, night and weekend rates.
Casual staff working after 6pm on weekdays or on Saturdays get 150% of their usual rate, those working Sundays get 175%.
