I said EU should take NATO as its own. By that I mean that the USA can no longer be trusted as its steward, and EU would be a better one.
UK is a valued and valuable member of NATO and hopefully also of EU soon enough.

You're right that with time, a new referendum will get a different result. But as long as UK has a FPTP voting system and a 2nd chamber not democratically elected, UK will have issues.
That needs reform.
