Friend of mine flagged this Peter Welch quote in Punchbowl as possible sign Dems may be getting wobbly on using their possible only tool to bring Trump to heel. Totally, agree. Fuck that. That's total loser talk. Passive, tossing the other side the initiative, low energy. Sad.

I think that every time. "There's only 100 of them! How can any of them be anonymous? But yeah, seems like there's only a couple dozen who are nationally famous at any given time. Gary Peters is retiring and I still don't know what he looks like. I thought he was a Black guy until recently.

I think what he's saying is true, unfortunately! Not that they shouldn't try- they have to- but best not to kid ourselves that procedural measures and legal clauses will suffice.
