I saw a lot of discussion yesterday about how the Constitution precludes this possibilty. But one of the methods Trump could use is to simply ignore the Constitution by taking the presidency without an election. He doesn't believe in elections that he loses, so this is not completely improbable.

President Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”
