We are even using 2021 LTS which predates all the license restructuring after the runtime fee debacle. Remember people getting super pissed that Unity was trying to make this retroactive? Unity buckled and said you could continue using the older license if you want, but that was a big fat lie.

Total Finances are measured as ...:
If you are a legal entity ... your Total Finances are: (a) if you are providing services to a third party, your customers’ or clients’ gross revenues and/or funding (no matter what the source)...
"your Total Finances are: (a) if you are providing services to a third party, YOUR CUSTOMERS’ or clients’ gross revenues and/or funding"
so if a business with a 200K+ revenue buys an indie unity game, (business expense) that developer is absolutely fucked? who came up with this shit???
> If you are an individual or a Legal Entity providing services to a third party, your Total Finances is deemed to be your customer or client’s Total Finances

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Moving to a new engine is no small task.

This has been in the agreement since 2022. Im not a fan of it, but its not new. Im not sure when it was introduced.
That being said, them suspending first and asking questions later is some bullshit.
But couldn’t a big company still game the system by also spinning up a “client” company?
e.g. $$$Co uses No$Co who hires DevCo? So long as No$Co and DevCo have no revenue, it sounds like it adheres to the contract?
Is it just fraud? I really don’t know!

They don't go hunting people down within a day of a product release to squeeze them.
It is disgusting, classless behavior by Unity.
Wild. Never heard of that bit!
How closely are they monitoring their users? How bad are they hurting for cash over there that that is necessary?
Unity is losing about $125M/quarter. The simplest extrapolation against their current cash says 3-4 years before we hear phrases like "going concern". https://investors.unity.com/financials/quarterly-results/default.aspx
