That one time on Real Time when I scolded Billy Bush to his face and Bill Maher pushed back with a great point that I used to hopefully role model how boys and men should try to be and evolve

I wish more men had the balls to say this to other men. It’s like there’s some rule that standing up for women makes you less of a man. I know men that others think of as decent, stand up guys, but they still would never say to a guy friend, “Hey, that’s not an okay thing to say about a woman.”
It's not locker room talk, it's NEVER been locker room talk. DT said he'd kiss women and grab their genitals WITHOUT their consent!! That's not talk, it's SA. Period.
More important was your point that the language wasn’t the issue. Sure, we’ve all said that word. We haven’t all talked about sexual assaulting people.
In his defense (not that what he did was truly defensible), Billy Bush wasn't the one with the power in that situation. I think Trump did that too a lot of people. He had a way of making anything he said irrefutable. That's why he is where he is now.
Once I really started watching him when the pandammit started it was so obvious what an unpleasant bigot he is. Racism, misogyny, fat phobia and any given gripe we’d call out if a right winger said it. If he wasn’t so bitter about aging into unfuckable irrelevancy he wouldn’t lash out so much.
My husband was the one who mainly kept up with him from the beginning. I had been poo pooing Real Time for a minute and he’d just shrug. Then Bill was forced to make episodes from his house, without the writers, and my husband was suddenly like “Oh god…” lol. 😆
THANK. YOU. Since 2020, Bill Maher has morphed into a curmudgeonly MAGAt who is always trying to both-sides + passive-aggressively excuse Cheetolini's behavior
I’ve never heard a man bragging about grabbing strange p*ssy as a sport AND bragging about sexually harassing a pregnant employee (moved on her like a bitch) and I have brothers
Yea there is a qualitative difference between lewd discussions of female anatomy and insinuating or directly calling for non consenting sex. The former maybe gross but it's within bounds, the later is gross AND out of bounds.
@realtimers.bsky.social This was good. Hearing him say Yeah YeahYeah annoys me. Bill has always weaved in and out of defending the worst and best of us. He is defending the worst in Trump these days. So disappointing
Growing up it was considered not manly to talk bad about women. We would say every woman is attractive or a man who says no to a woman is not a real man. Of course, some said it, but then they would be avoided by the rest. Old days of macho culture.

Bill Maher has sold out.
He no longer matters.
We rarely talked about women. When we did, it was who we wanted to have sex with & involved exaggerated sexploit stories.
I cannot recall anyone ever saying they assaulted a female. They would have gotten their ass kicked real fast.
Most derogatory thing I've ever said- “Wow she’s hot”
When I was a teen.
“Stunningly beautiful “
Now.
And being “ stunningly beautiful “ isn't always based on superficial appearance. Some beautiful women are -ugly.
in HS & college played:
Football
Wrestling
Track
I’ve heard guys talk about the female anatomy in impure ways
I’ve never heard a guy claim he could attack a woman like this
never
& in our “locker rooms” comment like that’d get you set straight fast
