I've owned a black moulded pair of these. They are simple sandals; a platform with two straps, similar to Scholls which I remember wearing 60 years ago. Talk about being up your own creative arse!
Friends daughter is an incredible snob and trend follower.. His clothes chain store or charity shop. I wondered when she sent him a pair for Christmas, and he explained to me price of them; sandals in winter???? Then this court/art story appeared. Wonder if reduces her embarrassment at him.
Others may copy the design but what about the comfort? I was a never Birkenstock, yet always bought good quality shoes. After developing foot pain I broke down and bought a pair. Changed my life, feet and knees haven’t felt this good for at least a decade.
I found them to be the most uncomfortable shoes and I wore earth shoes back in the day and sandals with little nubbies on the insoles. I'm wearing barefoot shoes with extra insoles and my feet have never been happier, save for when super flat jellies first arrived on the scene at Ben Franklin's.
