They didn’t “reinstate” them. They halted the ruling for 7 days to give time for it review and decide whether to let the ruling stand and go into effect during an appeal.
Did the appeal succeed on substantive grounds or did the appeal court merely stay the trade court ruling pending a full hearing and final disposition of the appeal? I cannot access the underlying Reuters story. Please write more informative lead sentences and/or headlines.
Trump essentially lives in appeals courts. It's his get out of jail card.
Appeals is a good thing when it applies to real people, but Trump just uses it to manipulate the law for his own personal benefit. He's always done this and always will.
Soon, nobody cares what is happening in USA because everything happening in USA is so schizophrenic, it is easier to avoid and just do business elsewhere.
We need our allies in the EU and Canada now more than ever.
Trump supporters are brainwashed. My best friends have been transformed into something I don't recognize. They have no idea what is really happening. Keeping them brainwashed is big business here and they get a lot of help from Russia.
That's debatable. You elected junior TWICE and on top of that, elected Trump TWICE.
That suggest you care less than everybody else who couldn't vote.
What are the latest turnout numbers in big cities? Are you in millions per event yet?
As long as you can't prove it, it's just another theory. Tens of millions who could not be bothered to vote. And to tip a scale, you'd have to already be in a precatious position. Neglecting proper response to election interference is another choice.
And your SC, so it still counts.
65.3% voted so I guess that means 34.7% did not. Which seems to be pretty standard. Roughly 1/3rd never cast a ballot or are ineligible for whatever reason. Not exactly evidence that we're a shining beacon of democratic power.
The court said the TAXES were illegal. Somebody explain how the fuck an appeals court is giving him what he wants when it’s clear he is in the wrong. There’s nothing to “review.”
Its always a bad sign when a court says that you can't use their decision as precedent in subsequent cases -- its like they know their reasoning is bullshit (see Bush v Gore), and don't want it thrown back in their faces in the future....
This kind of judicial whiplash—one day blocked, the next day reinstated—isn't justice, it's chaos in a robe. It reveals a system less grounded in law than in ideology and timing. Americans watch courts swing like weathervanes and wonder if the rule of law still rules at all.
This is so ridiculous. The Constitution couldn’t be clearer, but when it comes to Trump it becomes this musty old document that serves only as a general guide.

That is 12 days, in my math.
and while its possible, when both sides want a quick resolution, for all briefs to be submitted early, in practice that seldom happens.
And given that the the administrative stay keeps Trump's tariffs in place, they will probably not

Judges rule based on their culture, not the law.

Trump is gone and then hopefully forever.

I'm not sure we elected Trump. The Russians were heavily involved. That's a big deal.
