β¦Are you kidding? The article literally links to another article which details the intense, sustained community activism against this project. The site is planned to be in a predominantly Black & Hispanic area. And do you have any idea how badly gerrymandered Texas is?
I have a gas pipeline put in by Matterhorn Express .5 miles from my home. The switching station emits a constant high pitch screech. Just found out Matterhorn grabbed the property for $10.00 and called it eminent domain.
There's a frack site like a quarter mile from Jerry's stadium in Arlington. It sits behind a cheap(?) motel right across the street from one of the close-in parking lots.
Ironically, in the state of the state address Abbott spoke of the need for WATER in Texas. My family's water well was ruined by the oil industry, which has all the rights. So many water wells in Texas are unusable because of contamination by the oil industry. Start there, Greg.
well even if they didn't want the fracking, our dear leader Abbott told us a few years ago that cities don't have the right to ban fracking within their boundaries (Denton did that and Abbott and Tx lege passed a bill saying they could not ban fracking)
Colorado has been fighting this fight for a while and has been able to achieve some success. Unfortunately itβs hard to imagine the same for Texas. Itβs awful given the large body of research that shows serious harm to human health and the environment that weβre still seeing this happen.
Yes, because the solar panels are too bright when they shine in the sun! And anyway, Dallas doesn't have so much daylight because there are so many forests that block the sun all around. And not much land to put some solar panels or windmills because of the same forests and tall mountains...
No, but they do care about money and the corporations pay them more money than you do.
If everyone could stop paying taxes & use that money to equal what they get from the corporations then you would a voice
Republican claim to be anti tax...but really they are anti corporate tax!
It wil be 30 years of head scratching as to why everyone in the area is getting so sick.
Then shock at the dismantling of the regulatory institutions charged with keeping this shit from happening cuz bad shit finally happened to βthemβ.
These earthquakes are from fracking. This is just in the last 24 hours. Itβs wide spread all over the state in areas were fracking is being done. This is not ok!

We need energy independence & long term strategic reserves & that is contrary to Republicans philosophy
