It's so easy to go after the child welfare services w/o recognizing chronic underfunding/understaffing. There'll be a hue & cry about this for a while - maybe even some firings - but nothing will change till we make children a *real* priority and stop just paying lip service. Not holding my breath.

All my life the US has led the world, despite its shortcomings. Now, that's all gone,any respect it had. Aside from the MAGA cult, nobody really looks up to the US anymore. And all self-inflicted. That's how it looks to many in the UK.
