This is true. You can’t forget the numbers he put up, the longevity he had, and the team first attitude to take less money than he deserved so he could win. The titles are great, but the whole context is what makes him the GOAT.
This is a bad take. Take it from a New Englander: this argument died about 10 years ago. It was a good one from 2000-2006. It was a soft but makable one from 2007-2013. 2014 on, Brady carried that franchise to 3 more titles while Belichick tanked the roster and his coaching staff.
Dan Marino was putting up comparable numbers to today during an era when defenses could almost literally get away with murder. Brady was on the sidelines when his teams made game winning plays in four Super Bowls. He’s great. He’s not the greatest.
