This is such a terrible "essay" and the essence of the problem with the "manosphere". He doesn't condemn any of it. And it needs condemnation. You can't just have a "nice" podcast and then casually say "Hitler was a guy I'd go fishing with". That needs condemnation. www.cnn.com/2025/04/13/u...

Here's what I think happened: Bukele gave Trump a list of names of people that he wanted. Trump rounded those people up and sent them with the Venezuelans. Abrego Garcia was one of those names. So Trump likely knows Bukele won't give him back. Bukele likely wanted him and he may already be dead.

The SAVE Act is crazy. According to the text, the only way my wife could vote is with a valid passport. If it's expired, no voting for her. And that's because she took my last name so her birth certificate doesn't match her ID and there's no accounting for that.

Went to church today with my ESV Bible from Crossway which is an Illinois-based publisher. That Bible was printed in China (54% tariff). most of my clothing is imported: Clark's shoes (UK company, made in India); Charles Tyrwhitt shirt and tie (UK company, made in China). No Made in USA in sight.

You know how you can tell a cheat at any sport? When they win every time they play. No GOAT in a sport wins every time. LeBron doesn't. MJ didn't. Brady didn't. Golf is even harder to win consistently. Tiger had all kinds of trouble win consistently. So, if someone always wins they're a cheat.

There's something lost in all of this: the US has the second most manufacturing output of any nation. The #3,4, and 5 nations combined don't make as much as the US. It takes Germany, Japan, India, and South Korea to just slightly top our output. So, what's the problem again?

Tariffs are a great example of why Musk and 20-something software developers shouldn't be getting outside their lanes. It seems pretty evident that they built their list based on county code top level domains which is why Taiwan is separate and Heard and McDonald Islands have tariffs.
