I love @techconnectify.bsky.social & this 'opinion' piece is great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEJpZjg8GuA&t=1387s
Won't pretend to agree w/ everything but the funny thing is I *am* that person defaults to a chronological feed & YouTube subscriptions. But I'm also in the ML/AI space (@ Google)

I also use 'AI' (LLMs) but it's more like a *tool* than a replacement. I think doing otherwise fits Alec's term: 'algorithm complacency'
But I don't think anyone should believe AI 'replaces' thinking. It's another *tool* & if you don't respect it as such I personally think this is bad for the individual & society
And if you made it this far, know that I pretty much agree w/ most of what @techconnectify.bsky.social says here— you should subscribe! (The caption work is amazing!! ♥️)
That said, I'd gesture vaguely to the Extended Mind thesis if you haven't heard of it, and endorse the great book by Andy Clark (who's on Bluesky!!)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_mind_thesis
Honestly hadn't read anything specifically from them but I'm very familiar w/ the ideas
(No joke, had a required 'Technology Ethics' class my 1st yr at UCSC & our professor was a 'cyborg expert'— lots of really interesting discussions!)
I miss Uncle Charlie’s Summer Camp…)
Alec seems super cool & always loved their long & detailed videos! (And not trying to be hipster but I remember subscribing before they got bigger; just so happy for the channel!)
Lots of amazing stuff but the 20min video on 'brown' will always be my favorite
