I haven't followed the discussion under your post, but secret ballots on no-confidence votes certainly exist, e.g., in Germany (not in the constitution but parliament's standing orders). In South Africa, High Court had to rule that this is allowed before they could finally get rid of Zuma (I think).

There are some emphatic rejections of this idea for a secret ballot on impeachment or confidence for the understandable reason of democratic accountability for such an important vote.
