To the extent there is such a duty, the US has not enforced it for decades and won't start now, unfortunately. MSNBC is corporate media, not journalism, and this little stunt serves to show the network groveling for ratings as Comcast spins it off. Sorry for the cynicism but this is the situation.

Agree with the criticism of Joe and Mika but the article cites Megyn Kelly as though she were some pillar of virtue on the subject. Does no one else remember her visit to Trump Tower to kiss the ring after the 2016 primary debate when she was under sustained harassment from Trump and the MAGA mob?

I think some public people are scared of the possible retribution, and I understand that to a certain extent. However, I have always enjoyed the show more when Joe isn’t there. He talks about himself too much.
