Okay so you know I like to remind everyone how the American immigration system has been cruel for a very long time. But loading people on flights to deport them to countries that they are not from, like Iranians to Panama, is not business as usual.

Usually the country of origin, but often to a third country, and here Panama looms large again. So we can see the precedent historically in terms of immigration law as you stated. Here is a video on the subject, as well as my thoughts…. #adopteesky #adoption 🥚
Often, the origin of their countries, and many adopted, has to start zero. After all, because of many selfish adoptive parents never made sure that their international adopted children received citizenship. Some "parents" never even considered, thus, putting many adopted children in danger.
using latin america like the Nazi's used Poland to warehouse "undersirables" in inhumane, dangerous conditions. history has taught us countless times what's next.
This is a humanitarian crisis. The UN & other international organizations should be making a major effort to loudly fight what’s happening to these forcibly deported refugees. Unless they are criminals, they should not be in handcuffs. Being undocumented in the US is a civil offense, not criminal.
We've reached a new level of cruelty in America. On our way to those full concentration camps on American soil. The public has to be softened up and eased into the idea.
My question is there are countries the US is not allowed to return people to… is Panama a country that can return them and is that why they are being sent there?
An immigration policy that years of restrictions has basically eliminated. There is no way for people to immigrate like the majority of Americans originally did!!! Even the casual way of Mexico in 1900, not a thing.
Well. Apparently Iranians also can own Panama over some generations then ^^
It is special Iranian tactics of having diaspora everywhere and potentially becoming majority or at least occupy powerful positions in the places.
Also a good reminder that there isn't some fixed level of cruelty that will satisfy the bigots. The current level of cruelty immediately becomes the baseline, and they'll keep demanding more.
We literally had a kids cartoon with a similar idea for an episode. Everyone all looked like the same grey blob, and someone was still insisting they were more grey. They were all the same shade of grey, there's no winning here.
Thanks. I'm not a 'techie' - I'm old!- and appreciate any input. The fact this was posted to the WH website with comments from Elon 'haha wow', let alone as an ASMR video intended to 'create pleasure'- portrays this administration for who they are - disgusting, bigoted, wealth bloated racists.
Only if your business as usual is human trafficking...
It's the equivalent of driving to the next county and leaving an unwanted animal tied to a post to slowly starve and die.
The cruelty is the point.
Please my friend Heba your repost or quote for my pinned post means alot for us

I uses to be married to a police officer in San Diego. When he was in training, one of his instructors basically told them that if they have a guy running from them, get them to run over the border to Mexico. They'll handle it (shoot on site) and it's less paperwork for them. 😑
Back in the 80s, a La Migra raid at my local racetrack in NJ
shipped a lot of workers to Mexico, even if they weren't Mexican, though most of the others at least spoke Spanish.
Sheriff said "they're coming here to go on welfare",
while he was arresting them at work.
Thank you for mentioning this! When the latest raids started, I was very surprised by how many ppl didn't know about the practice of dumping people from the border zone in Mexico regardless of nationality.
Yes but this horror is more business at usual -- examples of this abound all over the world. Loading people onto flights and sending them far away is a bit of a different thing, though I don't think normatively worse or better.
They are also using military planes. ( makes the king feel better) costing on average 800,000. Per trip. President Biden used the actual ICE planes. 30,000. Per flight. It's all that "saving us money," right?
US history is based on moving people from where they were living peacefully to someplace not familiar while under duress and threats.
See: Native American tribes
With everything this regime is doing, they're trying to create as much damage and chaos as they possibly can, without consideration for how these people are impacted. Because they don't give a damn about anyone besides themselves and furthering their agenda.
It’s cruelty in its highest form to effectively rendition people to random places. How would any American feel if they were sent to Kazakhstan, Tanzania or Uruguay? No money, no language, completely alone and vulnerable? Just vile.
As I sympathize with you, I also want to remind you that most of the Palestinian/Arab/Middle Eastern communities voted for Jill Stein, Donald Trump, or didn't vote at all. So I think you should call them also because they played a part in their own demise.
Dumb as hell. Relitigating the election is pointless but if you feel so compelled, singling out people who refused to vote for the murder of their families, and wouldn't have changed the outcome regardless is just ghoulish
No, the truth hurts. Like I said, "I don't condone genocide." And again, this conflict has been going on since 1949. Kamala lost by 1.5%, so yeah, Dearborn could have help. Trump said years ago, he's was going to make Gaza into beachfront property. Anti-blackness is also real. Prove me wrong?
I’m not following you. Are you sympathizing or are you not?
Surely any ethically sound vision of immigration policy does not withhold empathy when the people in question didn’t vote the way you would have wanted
Yes, I have empathy, but this could have been avoided on Nov 5th. It's so deep that you may not understand it. Misogyny, Anti-blackness, and lack of knowing civics played a role in this election. There was a good bipartisan immigration bill that Donald Trump told Republicans not to vote for because
he knew it affected his election. Also, have you met an illegal immigrant? How can you tell if they are illegal or not? People use a lot of misinformation and dog whistle talking points to put fear in everyone. This man is destroying our democracy and we need to deal with that.
I don't, but they also had a choice. Trump was very clear in what he said about deportation before he was elected. People thought that because they weren't criminals, they wouldn't be affected. Bigotry doesn't know if you're criminal or not. I'm black, and I have to navigate through this bs...
Also, being black, educated, and a critical thinker, this country founded and ran using systematic racism to marginalize people who aren't white. Anti-blackness also played a role in this election. You may not want to admit it, but an educated black woman with 20 years of governmental service
should have won against a criminal that ran the country into the ground in his first term. Y'all say yall care about America, but will burn it down if it means you'll lose a little bit of power to a black woman.
You are engaging in talking points that only benefit white folks. To be clear, Palestinians cannot vote in American elections. Immigrants cannot vote in American elections. Black immigrants are the ones most likely to be deported. Stop the nonsense & focus.
Also, if you would tell Emmet Till's mother to vote for her son's murderers, then by all means wag that finger at Muslim voters. The Trump vote doesn't make sense to me, but it was actually not big, does not move the election. Most of us did not vote for the democrats who engaged in the genocide.
So let's be real: Your community has an Anti-blackness element in your culture. You can deny it all you want to, but you know it's true. They call Kamala all kind of B's, dumb even though she has a Juris doctorate. That genocide has been happening with democrats and Republicans since 1949.
So all of a sudden, when Fox News started to cover the uprising on Oct 7th, you don't think that was done on purpose? Donald Trump, a republican said years ago he wanted Gaza beachfront property. Isn't that worse? I will never condone genocide but you have to be real about the biases that played a
If we’re going to point fingers, there is exactly one group who deserves the blame for the outcome of the election and that is white people, especially white men.
We are the ones who overwhelmingly voted for Trump. We failed to convince other white people to vote for Harris.
The reason why I said it is because I've posts, tok tons and others forms of media where they are doubling down on their choice to Donald Trump over Kamala Harris while all of this chaos is going on. The point is that war has been going since 1949, and now is being highlighted? It's bt design.
We have an in-depth conversation about why these biases affect us in doing the right thing. Because the people at the top are getting plenty, while the many are fighting over crumbs.
This is a profoundly unacceptable stance to take. You should know better than to turn up your nose to nonsensical cruelty happening another a minority group. Solidarity over smugness over what you THINK you know.
One, I'm not being smug, but I am a critical thinker. This country is based and founded on systematic racism and filters throughout every other community with Anti-blackness. This was one of the main reasons why Kamala Harris lost. Latino men, Arab/Middle Eastern communities didn't vote for her.
I don't put white people in it because I know how they vote. Also, I don't agree with genocide but Oct 7th wasn't the first incident, this has been going on since 1949. Please learn the history. The US has been supporting Israel for 70+ years, and it's not going whether a D or an R is in office.
Everyone knew how Trump, but yet felt the need to put this man back into office and now is complaining when they knew who he was and could have voted for someone you can at least come to table with your concerns. Be real, as a black man, you should know this....
Concentration camps. Our prisons & jails are concentration camps. Our black torture sites are concentration camps. Jungle holes & hotels in bumfuck Panama are concentration camps.
The United States pays for & runs concentration camps.
Apparently immigration lawyers have started warning people bc US border patrol have been stopping people in airports who have permanent US residency trying to get them to be tricked into signing a form that would actually relinquish their residency and get them deported.
Felon 47 regime is cruelty is the point of every action they take. Not feeling helpless, feeling angry. Keeps me motivated to do at least one thing every day to oppose this and resist. Phone calls to reps, Senators, cabinet Noem, show up in protest and hand out tri-lingual know your rights
"4,000 Eritrean and Sudanese asylum seekers based in Israel were sent to Rwanda and Uganda between 2013 and 2018, before the secretive arrangement was abandoned."
Yes, all the media coverage of the UK made it so that it was abandoned before it began.
It’s grotesque. My heart hurts so badly for the good people affected by such an awful person and the people that serve him. All of what’s happening is not normal at all and we should all be vocal about not allowing it to be normalized.
Exactly. This is particularly cruel. I can’t even begin to imagine how terrifying this must be for those who are put on a plane and then arrive somewhere they have never been where they know no one.
All People are human beings. All humans are people. Treating any of us as less is an affront to all humans. Hell, non humans are also people. No one is cargo, property, an object.
You’re right…and yet. The Tory ex-government in the UK tried to do something like this: they were going to fly asylum seekers to Rwanda. The judiciary and public and experts made sure they couldn’t get it done. Here? Trump gets it done within DAYS.

In the 4 decisive states - MC NC GA WI - Harris outperformed Biden and was up with *all* minorities & urban whites
Suburban whites (mostly men) was the only group down both nationwide & in decisive states
The Dixiecrat walkout had only been 7 years prior. Dick Russel (D, white supremacist) was mighty.
But supporting the Democrats was key in desegregating the country.
I made the argument you’re making now to people before the election.
Now it’s over and there’s urgent new work to do.
Are you looking for an apology from someone or what?
We are the ones who overwhelmingly voted for Trump. We failed to convince other white people to vote for Harris.
We’ve also got a bunch of hashtag blue resist people running around blaming Harris for losing because she wasnt born white.
