people are also mischaracterizing the protests when they highlight the anger toward hamas (real, valid, and widespread) but not the calls for the right of return and end of the occupation. palestinian rejection of disastrous governance by hamas is not an endorsement of israel's annihilation of gaza.

Sadly I didn't know that fact. I wish for Palestinians to be saved from Israeli war crimes and from Hamas. I also understood that many Palestinians had to choose Hamas as the lesser evil for their survival. Very sad.
