Employers are now criminally liable if people subjectively believe a misused pronoun amongst their 10,000+ employees is deemed a hate crime, rather than a mistake, by a judge who's never managed a large staff?
I think it’s absolutely necessary. Depending on a harassment charge isn’t going to cut it. I can hear it already “well they look like a ____ to me”.
Why add a new ambiguous layer on top of the old ineffective one to solve the same problem?
We used to be able to just talk to people without it having to involve lawyers; especially concerning common language.
