If you're not from around here, you might laugh at the mention of seaplanes, but given the 900,000 on various un-bridged islands off the coast this is a more well used service than you might expect
They are critical for business travel. It's really hard to get from a gulf island to the east (YYZ, YUL, ATL, JFK, etc) on the same day without a seaplane.
this central downtown location is all the more relatively important because Vancouver has one of the strongest downtown economies relative to 2019 in North America, in addition to heavy tourist demand
