The more people see of Schumer, the less favorably folks will view the Democratic party. I hope that the party understands this.

PSA: it’s March 16 so one can get away with sayin’ Pain O’ Chocolate today AND tomorrow. :)

Had to deal with CoV workers cutting a near surface level fibre line (in two! places) at work today. Hopefully the curbs in question can be rebuilt w/o further cuts.

I do declare I am shocked, and I repeat shocked sir, that a SOHO switch doesn’t do any kind of routing at all. Yes this is a work thing.

It’s insane how disruptive and unsafe the sewer leak a year ago still is at main and terminal. Insane.

Ah old buildings and hard to find water leaks. What a pair! 🤔

It's always funny when NIMBYs say they closely follow housing issues and then act baffled about zoning and programs like the Moderate Income Rental Housing Pilot Program.

Lynch and Cronenberg were why I wasn’t allowed to choose movies for family movie nights. Someone put Cronenberg in bubble wrap please.

The high cost of housing means that Vancouver is ageing in place as a practical matter. A lot of those single family dwellers are tilting right. There aren’t enough younger people to renew them. And not every Vancouver riding has UBC.

Pretty much every social media app user has pruned their “garden” which is understandable but it also helps to understand one has done the pruning.

Working on a dead hard drive in a server and the decision to do SW RAID is complicating my life.

Basic media awareness tip #1 look at who the media (reporter) lables some sort of "activist' and who gets a pass from being labeled.

um

Vancouver NIMBYs have learned a new rhetorical trick which is to cry loudly about folks getting displaced by the Broadway plan.

I just moved into a smaller place for love. I’ve had to get rid of a lot of stuff/clutter and there’s still work to do. But I saw a video I will link to (eventually) that talked about active vs inactive in terms of spaces in the home and that was useful.

This is a great thread by a great person worth following !

Now this is right proper dark and grey develop SAD type of classic Vancouver November day.

I've been loving how Kerry Gold and Douglas Todd have shown their willingness to be credulous fools with no historical memory when it comes to certain "film-makers" who are hypocrites when it comes to manufacturing support via websites such as Facebook and Change dot org.

Here’s my… reconfigured legs as I had two operations in two days 2 years ago.

Incredible to think Canada could be less than a year away from: • Defunding of CBC News • End of news subsidies, mass layoffs / bankruptcies • Facebook / Twitter blocking or being unusable for distributing news If this happened in other countries, we’d be calling those governments “authoritarian”

Just got a flu shot and Pfizer COVID booster. I’m at 5G++ now. 😂

ReTIRED planner brain 13(!) units must saved:

Two years since breaking both legs. Happy that I’m walking just fine even if I have to take my kid say I got a leg lengthening procedure instead. 😂

Also in withdrawl from the finale of Agatha All Along so need to find something new to watch.

Long week almost over. I'll take the unseasonably nice weather tempered by reading all the heavy rains last month cost BC 100+ million in insurance claims. Also happy we don't have climate change denying premier.

As reminder, the yellow parts are no apartments at all. That's why pictures of "Vancouver" never feature them. maps.vancouver.ca/zoning/

On Nov 26, Vancouver council will vote on whether to bring back natural gas to heat buildings. Mayor Sim will argue (lie) that it's about making housing cheaper. Please, watch this video from July where he questions staff about this very topic (9:22:10 to 9:26:31) www.youtube.com/live/ugAIybX...

It’s an easy mistake to think all renters support development. If you’re older or have a family, the impulsive to hang on and be scared of re-development is both strong and predictable.

Yesterday I made the exciting discovery that the Canada Line is less busy at 4:15 compared to 5:15. Today I will test going to Granville (city centre) instead of Yaletown. Baby commuter again.

It is a little know fact that the Battle of Vimy Ridge was exactly as bad as seeing an apartment building from your porch.

the venn diagram between people upset at their millennial children for not giving them grandkids and people who have consistently voted over the past 30 years to make the world increasingly inhospitable is so dangerously close to a circle
