Number 3 is that there are relocation policies in place for directly affected residents and if they are in some way ineffective then the answer is not stop everything.

Number 1 This desire to preserve or control the status quo benefits them them. Number 2 insisting people stay in older housing means less resilience to things like ‘quakes.

Also too the idea that open storage often becomes either posed (too little) or cluttered (too much). (En)closed storage is better and don’t forget to subdivide it via containers that are hidden away. And yes I know I’ve just started thinking about this 🤔
