I'd like to think so, but I keep in mind that the current president of the Philippines is the son of Ferdinand Marcos, and the current vice-president is the daughter of Rodrigo Duterte (yes, the guy who was just arrested.)
Within days of the election a Filipino friend of mine who had been in the US less than a year, brought his family over. Remembering the Marcos atrocities of the 80s, I couldn't blame them.
This only happened because his erstwhile ally, the People's Republic of China, cast him aside. It took lots of research and patience by the ICC since the Philippine government has kept blocking them every step of the way. Please let us have this win.
Duterte is getting what he deserves. I can't help notice however how the ICC has no problem locking up Black and Brown criminals while the white ones remain scot free.
The International Court is far more likely to go after Black and Brown leaders and ex-leaders who have committed crimes against their own citizens. The lack of action in arresting the white guys confirms this. They will not go after their own under any circumstances because they (white people) gain.

Next breaking news will be: a private jet took Duterte to Mar a Lago.

I read the Taliban joined the US and just withdrawn as a signatory of the International Criminal Court.

I really wish it were a thing.
Does he just go about life floating around trying to not get whacked by 45s friends?
