It was so painful to see an artificial limb on display back then. Now thanks to the Paralympics and the Invictus Games a disability is routinely displayed with pride. Of course Donald Trump would erase Terry’s achievement a DEI.

The first time I saw Terry, who was a year younger than me, he was training in his home town. The local news featured him. I was just blown away by his courage and determination. When he died, a lot of hearts broke.

While I did not get to meet Terry Fox in person, my grandparents in Batchawana Bay were part of the fundraising efforts and were fortunate enough to give him their proceeds in person and to shake his hand. I missed meeting him by a week - had to go back to Muskoka for school. :(

my father & his family were born in banff & medicine hat. they ran a ranch. dad used to work with the horses from the calgary stampede. he came to america later & became a citizen. if he were alive today, he'd want to move back. 😉

I think people like Terry Fox would be great reminders in an ad campaign targeting America's Canadian border areas along with town halls. Very few GOP MAGA people living in this area hate Canada like people living on ocean front properties. Time to turn the tide. #AmericansWithElbowsUp🍁
