I'm not sure who your provider is but I was able to get the RSV vaccine at 62 and my husband got it at 74.

I'm 62 and I got my pneumonia vaccine when I was in the hospital for a broken ankle in January. At first, I turned it down in the ER. When I was moved into my room, it was offered again, I said shoot me up.

I still have to do shingles.

I got shingles, pneumonia, by 62, had RSV, about 66 or 67, no problem. Have gotten Covid & flu every year they’ve been available. Dr told me at 62 that if I was going to travel I could do them before recommended age.

This sounds sketchy, tbh.

I am surprised you were turned down from getting the pneumonia vaccine. I had pneumonia in my 20s and have been getting regular boosters (as a matter of fact, my dr. gave me the Prevnar 20 in January).

Here in Ontario, they won't give you a COVID vaccine if you've had it in the previous six months. Maybe the same applies for RSV? Are you and your husband able to try elsewhere to get the shots?

I've been taking Diamond V yeast XPC aka Epicor for over 20 years and works well at boosting immune system. I hardly ever get sick. Good science behind it too. It boosts CD4 helper cells and slows down CD8 cells that attack your cells that the body thinks are compromised.

Last year CDC said to get the vaccine for RSV if you're 65 or older. This year they changed their mind to 75 or older. The pneumonia vaccine is a series of shots, most likely two, sometimes three, based on which ones you've previously had, then no more are needed.

I received the RSV vaccine at age 69. I received the pneumococcal vaccine at age 66 or 67. Go on the CDC website (if it still exists with Musk) and check out the age brackets.

I got RSV & Pneumonia vax last year. Also covid vax last year & again this year. 2 part shingrex about 7 years ago. All covered. All at pharmacies. Mostly cvs except for the shingrex which they didn’t offer at the time (vax shortage). Sometimes I think it’s clerks who misfire or misread. Try again

After age 60 you should be able to get RSV vaccine if you are immunocompromised in any way.
