They are going to end cash bail and enforce lockup. And then they will contract your ass to the farm companies to pick fruits and vegetables in order to offset the costs of lockup. We will see a return of something like penal serfdom. Their horrors are sad and predictable.

if 75% of farm workers vanish, that’s the ballgame, good fucking luck *finding* anything on the shelves, let alone buying it, it will take a lot of time and effort to get those workers back, and harvest opportunities will have been missed
