The actual point in there is that the lawyers giving the bad advice need to be sanctioned. Future lawyers are supposed to learn in their first year Professional Responsibility courses that there's a responsibility to refuse to give your client bad advice or to act on their illegal whims.

So as a lawyer (and I was a criminal defense lawyer for a long time, I’m not one to praise a prosecutor generally), I read this as a shot at his lawyers for being corrupt assholes, and to encourage members of the bar to hold the line, not be cynical or act like cowards.

His point is legitimate. During Trump 1 he was curbed from acting on some of his worst impulses by lawyers who gave him the bad news he didn’t want to hear. (Remember his January 2020 plan to put Clarke in charge that was largely thwarted by Cippolone et al?). There’s no one doing that now.
