This is exactly what I’ve been saying! They’ve always spouted, “think about the children!” Meanwhile they either do not know that what they’re doing will traumatize a generation or (more likely) do not care. This was never about the children, it was always about control. Absolute control.

I’m afraid that “traumatizing migrants” is part of the point of these performative raids for MAGA. It’s impossible not to see an almost libidinal attachment to the pain of “others” in their downmarket Nuremberg rallies. This must bleed over into oikos.
