Yet the ICC still give the Afghanistan board the same funding as if they were supporting a women's team. They look like they support their actions by doing this. Not to mention the unfair advantage it gives them compared to the likes of Ireland who do things properly.

I’m just saying that, if I were someone paid to speak on behalf of West Indies Cricket, I might be suggesting that, if any team didn’t feel like fully participating in the tournament, then perhaps another team, that had just narrowly missed out on qualification would be an enthusiastic participant.

That's pretty tough on a Pakistan team, who have nothing to do with the argument between their states or cricket boards, won all their games and beat the West Indies comfortably. It's always a shame not to have West Indies miss out and hybrid tournaments suck but it's not their fault.
