They absolutely DO realise this, I'd go further and say that the people who workshopped all this 11 years ago are more than happy for an outcome where women are policed on their femininity, remember the same people are anti-abortion, pro-natalist, anti-immigrant, you know, basic nazis

"TERFs don't realise that this will affect cis women as well" misses the mark I think, because they do realise and they are actually happy to sell out cis women in order to make trans women suffer, that's a price they're more than happy to pay because they are simply cruel freaks and not feminists
