We’re dealing with a profoundly stupid man who is also easier to manipulate than a soggy French Fry.
That’s why there’s no need for Putin to waste time and money to recruit Trump. He knows he can get Trump to do whatever he wants just by telling him he’ll look tough and brilliant if he does.
I'm absolutely no fan of Trump but spouting garbage doesn't help your cause.
Trade relations between the US and Russia have been so impacted by sanctions imposed after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, they have restricted meaningful economic exchanges.
Try checking your facts first please.
I don't deny the figures but what I said was trade relations between the US and Russia have been heavily impacted. So while some limited trade continues in specific sectors e.g. medicine and agricultural, trade has been severely curtailed. So what I said is correct.
Yes always a good idea to do that, especially when dealing with the lying dipshit Trump and the terrorist state known as Russia. if base tariffs are 10% then 10% is the base, except for his new found friends, when they're 0%.
I'm not defending either but U.S. sanctions on Russia after its 2022 invasion of Ukraine are among the most severe ever imposed on any country. They are broader and more extensive than previous sanctions against Russia, including those imposed after its annexation of Crimea in 2014.
These sanctions also rival or surpass past U.S. sanctions on countries like Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela in certain aspects. So why even bother with a 10% import tax as it pretty meaningless.
Firstly, the latest figure for February 2025 is $339 million, so it's not insignificant as it would be $33.9 million in tariffs.
Secondly because agent orange Trump has put tariffs on small pacific islands with less trade. 10% is the base for everyone else, including Ukraine, but except Russia.
40 million dollars to an economy the size of Russia is like Putin's weekly wage, it's sod all. It wouldn't put that bigger dent into Britain's finances and we are practically broke.
As the markets crash, alliances fracture, and fear simmers across the globe, Trump boards a plane—waving like a conqueror, his back turned on the fires he started. 🔥 Imposing meaningless Tariffs on ghost islands-‘Liberation Day’ for a war that never was. Nero played the fiddle…Trump plays golf.
‘Project Russia’ - it's aligned with all the destruction Trump and his regime are doing. It's the overall master plan.Trump is deliberately destroying the economy. He is doing this for Putin to create a new world order. https://bit.ly/4jhvi1A
And his argument for things that, because of the existing sanctions, there is no meaningful trade between the US and Russia. The trouble with this line of 'thought' is that is cannot explain the tariffs on an island inhabited only by fucking penguins.
There are about 80 other countries on the list that, according to the published formula, should be ignored if Russia's trade balance is "too small to consider."
There's nothing in here that has rhyme or reason; everything is about t34's ego and need to compensate for small anatomy.
Because all of those countries are already under economic sanctions and have no trade relationship with the US. What pattern could you possibly be implying?
The GOODS are brought here and AMERICAN BUSINESSES AND CONSUMERS pay the tariff (customs duty) to import them.
The money goes from the pockets of Americans into the Treasury. A tariff on incoming Chinese, Canadian, or Mexican goods is a tax on Americans.

That we know of.🤭

US exports to Russia circa $526m
US import from Russia circa $3,000m
Clear trade deficit which should have been dealt with, it wasn’t.

At this point, if the military doesn’t arrest these Nazis soon the public will.
Probably still trying to score a deal for Trump Towers throughout the Emirates.

Certainly Putin, the guy that installed Trump, wasn't surprised.
