There's just some people who feel the need to immediately correct someone they perceive as "being wrong," even when the subject matter is the kind where there is no actual wrong answer.

That reminds me of the person who said if they wanted a question answered online, they'd post the question, log into an alt account, and then post an obviously wrong answer.
Because people were more likely to jump in and correct the wrong answer than to help answer the original question.
