I just came across this long abandoned embroidery project that I put aside because filling in all the black outline was so boring. Perhaps this is the time to finally finish it.

I've done similar projects like this, the stained glass effect and I did the same thing! I put it aside because the filling stiches bored me to tears, but it makes it look so striking when it's done. It's just beautiful work, please show it when it's done!
Good to know. I have been working on quilt squares (from Jack Dempsey needle art) but would love to interrupt for a smaller project. Thanks for the tip. It's lovely.
Thanks to the encouragement of the lovely folks on here, I finished this abandoned project. It took so much time and my fingers are a little worse for wear, but she’s done!
I took about 30 years to finish a beginner’s cross stitch pattern I started as a child. I have since started and finished a few more projects and started to learn embroidery this year.
Just saying:
Leonardo da Vinci is well-known for rarely finishing his artwork, often leaving many pieces incomplete due to his perfectionism and tendency to become distracted by other interests, resulting in a relatively small body of completed works despite his immense artistic talent.
