Everything is really awful right now, so I had Red River Cereal made in Canada by a great Canadian company for breakfast. Arva Mills is a good source of flour, bread mixed and of course my beloved Red River Cereal

I picked up some fruit today. Oranges from Morocco, blueberries from Peru, bananas from Guatemala, Honeycrisp apples from Nova Scotia. All would be a nice side dish to your cereal. It saddens me that all of this is happening. Why are we suddenly frenemies?
This is a true indicator of my level of trust in social media, I had to go and check out the website.Thank you for sharing. https://arvaflourmills.com/pages/about-us

Bulk Barn is a Canadian company and I get "Creamy Wheatlets" there (cooks up and tastes the same as Cream of Wheat) and hopefully that product is actually sourced in Canada. If anyone knows I'd love to hear. Bulk Barn seems like an ethical company. I hope that is true.
BTW I contacted Bulk Barn via their website and they got back to me within a few hours. I'm really impressed. I hadn't asked about any specific product. They encouraged me to do so and also said they were planning to make it easier to know the sources of the items they sell.
Good to know. Thanks for sharing. I bought Canadian Oat Bran as a substitute to Cream of Wheat. Hopefully it will be just another Cdn option. I have never tried the product so we shall see.
Are they shipping to the US now? When Arva started producing RRC, I bought some and had it shipped to a Canadian store and I went up to MB to pick it up. I grew up in northern MN and we frequently had RRC for breakfast!
I grew up on Red River cereal! 😋🥣 https://Arvaflourmills.com has a great online shop for flour, cereals (and gluten free), and Ontario fine food companies!
love this stuff too... the only thing I found is avoid eating it 48 hours before getting on a plane. Especially if you have an economy window seat ;)
you only make that mistake once ;)
Rogers makes a pretty good granola, and their flours are a staple, made in western Canada from Canadian grain. Here in Vancouver we also enjoy Anita’s Organic flours from Chilliwack.
Well, it’s in Arva, which is near London. The White Stripes played a show at the Mill once. And they have a cheddar herb (I think) bread that is amazeballs.
