I even think you don’t have to take it fully seriously, just make something you seriously enjoy even if it’s not serious at all. Which could be considered taking it seriously I guess but I count it as somewhere in between serious and not

yeah that's what i mean. like you can take silly things seriously, eg comedy. maybe there's a better word than seriously, like idk, committing. commit to the bit, or not bit but the song. the noises. commit to the sounds etc

idk, i think the MAJORITY of good art requires effort and especially INTENTION, with at least some thought behind artistic decisions
