Each year on March 25 we commemorate the anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. This tragic event took the lives of 146 mostly young, immigrant women workers in 1911.

#TDIH- Triangle Fire: March 25, 1911
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, which occurred on March 25, 1911, killed 146 young immigrant workers, mostly women, in a New York City garment factory.
AFL/CIO let down America when its members mostly voted for Trump, the most anti-union president in history. Don’t believe me? Call a strike at a US manufacturing company and see what happens!
Outrage over the fire was the impetus for change in labor & fire safety laws that continue to protect us. More than 100 yrs later, it's crucial that we continue to stand together & protect the hard-fought gains of the labor movement, and expand protections to include all workers.
