I am looking into who is funding and publishing many of the 'failed replications' and other various attacks on science. Most of the time the money is black box and the people running the projects were either kicked out or left universities/ science in general.

Would be interested in the venn diagram between this and podcast far right leaning bros and "debaters" funding for their champaigns into hate. Is there a dark money trail there? While believable that people would fall for propaganda I do think it's being inflated

at least in science there are a few specific people who fund these attacks under the guise of 'making science better' even though the projects are run by people who have never worked in the area before, single studies, not piloted, etc. they get super famous by harming the entire field and public 👍👍

these are people who have a financial interest in making science look bad, or as a part of the more general movement away from trusting public knowledge and etc.

eg the 'Open science framework' garners millions by publishing low quality failed replications of important studies. bad bad bad!
