I would love to see such a list. I am of the "better late than never" school of thought. An example from recent history. IMO, the US was very late to enter WWII in a meaningful way, but still was instrumental in ending it. - ThreadSky

This will be my starting point for the list of dumbass concilliators in the Democratic party, i.e. the list of Dem senators who voted to confirm Clarence Thomas... you know, the guy who helped overturn Roe V. Wade & voted to make Trump exempt from criminal laws.

Both of our two major parties have conspired over the years to make it almost impossible 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙬 for any third party to take root or to win anything but minor elections.

The alternative is so-called "ranked choice" voting, which tboth major parties consistantly block.

Ummm... we weren't exactly Johnny-on-the-spot when it came to World War I either.

In fact, a vast amount of the economic success of the U.S. over the last 111 years is directly attributable to us being slow/late to join WW1 and WW2.
