If we stalled every affordable or transitional housing project because the neighbours hated it, nothing would ever get built. Despite what some city councillors may think, you can't build it at the edge of the city where it won't offend anyone. People are GOING to live next to them.

Thus far, Wilson has confirmed ground will not be broken on the estimated $16 million project at 738 Chemong Rd. until the total cost has been raised. Concerns as well about public safety. Residents say they are finding needles in the neighbourhood already. "Right project, wrong site," they say.
