Making mediocrity in probably men, probably straight, probably christian looking people superior to exceptionalism in anyone who misses any of those boxes. Christ, white men are fragile babies.
When you look at the actual argument it makes sense why even some liberal judges seem to be receptive to it.
Discrimination based on race, gender or orientation has to ALWAYS be wrong. That's a step towards real equality which, I would like to think, most are in favor of.
Before anyone despairs too much, consider that even after losing the "reverse discrimination" case at SCOTUS, UCD Medical school went on to become the first medical school class that was 50% women in the country. I was a member of that class and we continued the DEI tradition, without the name.
She's claiming "anti-straight discrimination" with no evidence other than the fact that she was passed over in favor of a gay candidate because she was not deemed suitable for the job.
You're right. But I think that's at the core of her case. And the NAACP argument gives it more weight.

But not age discrimination I’ll bet. You can still be fired when corporate America thinks you’re costing the company too much in salary, benefits, and health care costs.
This is yet another way to exclude black and brown people from the workforce. Companies will now feel obligated (or thrilled) to hire only white people because, apparently, they are the only ones that can do all jobs. No one else is qualified for any job. The blatant racism is through the roof!
