I found that out on day one when I got a brand new Macbook Pro M3 and the magsafe charger sucked bad. Couldn't keep up with the processing power, forcing the Mac to run out of battery. Switched to USB-C and problem solved. I guess it's just part of Mac's standard since the 2016 models.

you wanted your powerbank to TAKE power from your mac, while it wasn't plugged in?
The EU doesn’t mandate USB-C for Notebooks yet, that comes in in April 2026. and is only applicable to those devices with 240W or less power demand.
It's handy. I mostly use MagSafe, but I have USB-Cs all over, and it's nice being able to take advantage of that.
