Zohran has no chance if other people stay in the race. We will get Adams or Cuomo if people don’t actually drop out. Zohran is the clear leader of that progressive branch so others need to drop out so they don’t end up getting a repeat of Adams first primary win

I'm not as sure. He's the kind of guy who really appeals to people who will make him a first choice, and feels kind of distant for others? Not that it couldn't change. But he's basically tied for Stringer in general polling, but dead last as a second choice.

A lot of the most heavily used buses are in poorer areas not directly served by the subway and so making the bus free is a quick path to reducing reliance on cars by a lot. Speeds everything up dramatically too. Throw some SBS lines in there and you’ve improved everyone’s life.

Also a huge cost savings in not having to pay for fare enforcement and helps protect bus operators (a lot are hurt when fights start about paying). Seems like the biggest city in America can find a way to make the bus free and expand service at the same time idk.

Personally? I think more people in my town would take trains.
However:
Trolleybuses (buses that run off a catenary) would be good here.

Our bus/train system sucks to the point that people who ride the bus can only take SOME jobs.

The simple fact that free buses would greatly speed up operations makes them worth doing. It could be fully funded by slightly increasing the hotel tax.
