The Third Man is on Criterion Channel this month if you like dutch angles and truly wild and inventive cinematography. it’s also out of print on Blu-Ray and DVD, which seems bizarre to me?

I ran into this not long ago when I wanted to watch Kevin Smith’s Dogma. Out of print and copies go for well over a hundred on eBay. This is sadly pretty normal for movies from what I’ve been told by friends who collect physical releases.
Maybe (hopefully) prepping a 4K release? It's the 75th anniversary this year and there's a 35mm run in NYC right now, so it seems like a good time for that.
i have a lot of OP Criterion editions (The Killer, Hard Boiled, Withnail & I, etc) but they're all fairly niche films, actually surprised they'd let a corrnerstone like 'The Third Man' lapse
I love when actors play the same real-world person multiple times in completely different, unrelated projects. D'Onofrio was Welles in ED WOOD (although he was dubbed by The Brain himself, Maurice Le Marche). Ian Holm played Napoleon 3 times over 27 years.
