Nevada will use a Google generative AI model to recommend whether people appealing unemployment denials should recieve benefits or not.

It'll be the first state to experiment with the technology to make such a high-stakes government decision.

In Australia we did something like this and it killed over 1000 people in the pandemic due to carers being let go.

It also gave random people debt, including me at the time, that was taken out of our payments.

It was called the Robodebt Scheme and ended in a lawsuit.
