This is especially true when you look at the stats. In biomedical (esp more clinical) it's very hard to find papers that are sufficiently accessible for the bio and use stats that are covered in UG courses.

This a real issue! Should UGs engage with primary literature = yes. Do they have to engage with the most up to date literature = no? I find older papers more accessible - modern papers so overloaded and impenetrable to UGs Micropublications can also be useful. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
