When will there be a Parable of the Sower movie? I really need one so I can have it on my syllabus without taking two weeks to read it. Also, we just deserve to have this film.

Yes. Octavia Butler deserves a trilogy, including her unfinished Parable of the Trickster, but it would take someone with prodigious talent like @nnedi.bsky.social to write it.
I was literally just thinking this!!! Im teaching an alternative economies course this summer and I think this would be such a great mind-opening prompt for thinking toward the end of capitalism.
Yeah. In my Politics of Futurity class half the students will have read it & so will reference it all the time but then the other half who haven’t are like why do we keep talking about this if we’re not reading it. And I want to make room for other things. It’s a conundrum!
