Remember when they derailed obvious plot progression & turned the white boy Neo Nazi into a love interest, for the first female Star Wars lead I might add, who needed to be saved and redeemed so that his weirdo fan base was pleased... And then they only got angrier and no one ended up being happy?

the political potential of the sequel trilogy was, somehow, by ACCIDENT incredibly prescient, because i know none of those neolib fucks making it at any point did it on purpose. hence why we have first order stormtroopers asking people for their papers in the parks as a "fun" thing
