The way people attacking any discussion of Biden's electability - and that's what it's about - sound like the people who flipped out on anyone questioning Hillary's electability and it's giving me the same feeling in the pit of my stomach.

The FELON is the one who should drop out. Is that really such a difficult thing? Much easier to whine about Biden being old. Get off your ass. Remove the FELON from your ticket. This is America. Act like it.
Well to be frank every one under the sun told HRC to stay far away from this election cycle. Unless you think she should throw her hat the ring at this point?
Too late. Biden won the nomination this year by vote of primary voters. We are in a battle. Not the time to reflect on the promotion list. We fight. We double down. We win or lose and accept the results. I am a small contributor who doubled his contribution this year. I understand the stakes. TR:
It seems to me that a fundamental discussion regarding any candidate should be is his or her electability. Republicans should have had similar discussions about Trump (some probably did).
Yes! And the result of those whispered discussions? Let's go with a FELON who assaults women habitually and is proud of it! Not to mention being a business fraud who routinely lies to banks, insurance companies and the contractors he hires. Oh yeah Biden should step down.
Don't forget, it's a bunch of republicans who are beating their breasts and telling the Democrats to act responsibly. LOL! The FELON needs to go. And no, the NYT is not 'liberal'. The Atlantic is not liberal. Republicans all.
I hear you, but one big difference, in my experience:
with Hillary it was, "ugh, Hillary." People said no. Can't do it. America also wasn't ready to elect her as the first of a husband/wife team. Just wasn't going to happen.
Joe doesn't have all that, which will hopefully help make the difference.
Remember that Hillary was a right-wing bogeyman for the previous 30 years. People **hated** her. Pragmatically, worst Dem prez candidate since the 80’s. (And yet, she still would have won vs the likes of Cruz or Rubio — the shallowness of the GOP bench made it so easy for Trump.)
I hear ya, but it’s also pointless. Biden is the nominee and unless he dies or has a horrific stroke, he will be on the ballot in November. He’s not gonna drop out. It’s not on the table. Discussions of that are 100% pure unadulterated fan fiction.
Yep. 100% true. We all had to pretend not to know that 50% of the country hated her and would never vote for her. Shortly the DNC will demand we pretend not to know the same thing about Harris.
Thursday night I legitimately had the same visceral feeling I had on two occasions–election night 2016 and when the news of RBG's death broke, both for the same reason: despair for the short- and long-term direction of the whole country.
Am truly praying that streak breaks.

Besides, the die for this was cast in march 2020, and only one of the dying will change that outcome.
