Just standard traditional lowpoly modelling, but with low res pixel art textures used. I pay a lot of attention to modelling to a grid so I can ensure 1 unit will = 1 pixel when I get around to UVing. Not much more than that aside from years of experience making this style :D

Ive been wondering, what do you use to rig and animate your models? I'm assuming you model your characters with Blockbench but the rigging doesn't look like it.
