Can't even afford insurance anymore, not that it would matter. They don't cover anything you need at any kind of reasonable rate. Pharma companies have to give coupons on their sites so people don't die from lack of medication due to costs, but it's a constant struggle anyway.

As an NHS GP, I occasionally see USA medical bills from when my patients have been taken ill on holiday

The mark up is astronomical eg $3K charged for a £500 MRI scan, $25K for a £5K procedure (private self pay U.K. costs)

This difference is going straight to those with snouts in the trough.

I collapsed due to tar poo, which was exacerbated by my body not taking oxygen then all organs failing because of excess oxygen. I was in a coma. I had less than a 10% chance of surviving if moved so a temporary ward was built around me. How much do you think I paid to the hospital? I'm in the UK.
